The City of Mount Pleasant joins the community in mourning the loss of M. Mark Lesher, who passed away on January 30 from complications due to COVID-19.
A talented attorney and innovator, Mr. Lesher moved to Mount Pleasant in 2009 with his beloved wife, Rhonda, and opened his third law office Downtown. He quickly became a respected member of the community who treasured our historic district and was a champion for anything the city or his fellow business owners and merchants did to help make “Main Street” a desirable place.
Mr. Lesher believed in thinking big, going with gusto for the greater good, and always helping someone who needed a lift to the other side of a rough time. He was successful in every endeavor, but most importantly, as a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, civic servant and good human being.
Mr. Lesher's life story is a legacy that brings his family and friends honor, and our thoughts and prayers go out to them all during this difficult time.
