The Mount Pleasant Animal Control shelter is located at 300 Enterprise Blvd.
If you need assistance for a dog bite, dangerous animal, or injured animal and the Animal Shelter did not answer the phone, call the Mount Pleasant Police Department at 903-575-4004. A police department operator will evaluate the call and determine if a police response is needed.
Found harbored animals can be reported to the Shelter during business hours for collection.
The city has an animal contract with the City of Pittsburg and Gilmer. Only animal control officers from those cities can deliver an animal to the shelter. The shelter does not accept animals from Winfield, Pittsburg, Gilmer or any other city or county residents.
To report an emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately.A true emergency is any fire, injury or illness, which endangers a person’s safety, or a crime in progress. An emergency is life threatening and requires immediate response from fire, medical or police personnel.You would call 9-1-1 to:• Save a life.• Put out a fire.• Stop a crime.
